Navigando nel mondo virtuale, capita spesso di imbattersi in siti in lingua inglese, che contengono abbreviazioni che spesso non sono immediatamente comprensibili. L'universo di FM non rappresenta l'eccezione a questa regola, quindi ecco qui una lista delle comuni abbreviazioni riguardanti i ruoli e le posizioni dei giocatori in campo:

Posizioni:

GK: Goalkeeper = Portiere (Por)
SW: Sweeper = Libero (Lib)
DR: Right Back = Terzino destro (DD)
DL: Left Back = Terzino Sinistro (DS)
DC: Centre Back = Difensore Centrale (DC / DCD/ DCS)
WBR: Wing Back Right = Terzino Fluidificante destro (TFD)
WBL: Wing Back Left = Terzino Fluidificante sinistro (TFS)
DMC: Central Defensive Midfielder = Mediano Centrale (M)
MC: Centre Midfielder = Centrocampista centrale (CC / CCD / CCS)
MR: Right Midfielder = Centrocampista Destro (CD)
ML: Left Midfielder = Centrocampista Sinistro (CS)
AMR: Attacking Midfielder Right = Ala destra (TD)
AML: Attacking Midfielder Left = Ala Sinstra (TS)
